Love this 🙂 I have made an concentrated effort to step away from my phone and towards real life interactions. I was feeling lonely even though I was “connected” all of the time and I realized that I was more disconnected than ever. Thanks for this video 🙂

Dee Licious you are amazing. Thank you for stepping up and being the first comment out of thousands of views. You are a true model of self worth. Speaking your mind instead of clickin “Like” to save time. Beautiful videos this man makes inspiring to all.

  • This is great!!! I wish there were more of us doing “this” but I think it may be on the rise, maybe I’m just looking harder! Good work man, and good flow too.

  • I think the like button above this is terribly ironic.

    I agree. Beautiful!

  • This young man is absolutely right in every word he spoke. I don’t have an iPhone, but I do FB too much and need to step away. Thank you for this wonderful video.

WOW. That’s all I can say. This really blew me away. I’m really into spoken word poetry and would someday like to go into to field myself, and seeing someone so genuine and real speaking about something that they believe in really inspires me. This man needs to keep producing. Props to you brother.

  • Love this. Thank you. Clicking OFF now!

WOW. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this. I have deleted all my social media because of these exact reasons. It isn’t fair that I am deemed to grow up in a world that I didn’t choose. But I will be damned if I “follow” my generation. Maybe if we can all come together, WE can do something about this growing epidemic and log off online but log in to life.

Took a girl out to my local chinese about 2 months ago – first date.
she spent the whole of the 1 and a half hours together staring down at her phone…..got up and said i was going to the toilet, “ok” she said, without really listening or taking any notice. i went to the reception/counter and paid the bill, along with the price of a sweet of her choice (and instructions to the waitress to offer her this)
i txted her telling her that we had “no connection”!, and that txting was the only way it seemed i could speak to her with her taking notice.

Funny thing was, i didnt receive the “how dare you…..” txt until about 30 mins later, just as i was getting home.
Seems there where a lot more txts/emails/tweets/BBM’s to be read and answered before mine eh?

  • One word: awesome.

I love what you’re saying here and totally agree. but the truth is the irony is that I wouldn’t have found this video without my iMac. Cussing the way we use technology in a video that relies upon it for people to view said video? and still 302 ‘likes’.

I found this video very touching and so true. I was on the go train and every one was looking down for as far as the eye could see in every chair looking at their cell phones. I don’t own a cell. I started talking to the person beside me and she put her cell away each time. I think people prefer to talk to someone in person. Also I have to say it looks so stupid.
